Cornhole History
I have read in many places, on many sites, and on many blogs an elaborate detail of a long history that some times goes back to Greek and Roman times. It's all BULL SHIT!! Here's what we do know. My family has been playing since the mid 1990's. Guess where we got it from? Indiana (Sorry Cincinnati). But I do have a friend (Jimmy, the inventor of the sneaker bag and so many other shots that we have all tred to perfect, HE"S A LEGEND SON!!) who has been playing for almost 30 years. So I say to the whole world, Cincinnati is the birth place of the greatest sport known to man, our dear beloved CORNHOLE. He doesn't know exactly where he started playing, although he says it was some where on the west side, in a back yard drinking beer on a Friday night after a football game. So I'll give him more credit than the sites that link our game to the ones they played back in the original Olympics, where they had chariot races and threw spears not corn filled bags. No matter what you believe, keep playing this game and let's make it the next big sport and continue the rich history it has made over the last 30-2,000 years.
